Lynne Elson, is an award winning writer of plays and short stories. Her plays have been produced in New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Nebraska. She has won numerous awards including the Great Platte River Playwrights' Festival for Stolen Glorie in 2001. She is a founding member of the Stage One Playwrights Unit of Passage Theatre Company where several of her plays have had first runs. This year her full-length play Holiday Shmoliday has been published by Playscripts Inc. so her dream of replacing the many productions of A Christmas Carol in theatres all across the country can come true. Lynne's work also appears in Audition Monologs for Student Actors II, and her short story CLOSE SHAVE can now be read in The Kelsey Review.
Lynne is a teacher of theatre and filmmaking for junior high school students. She also directs the drama club show each year. In what spare time she has, Lynne is either teaching yoga or kayaking.
